The Government has sanctioned two new Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for the district that would come up at Hanagala and Ranebennur, said Minister for Labour B.N. Bache Gowda.

Inaugurating a new ITI building constructed at a cost of Rs. 3 crore at Akkialur here on Monday, Mr. Gowda said the Government was committed to sanctioning ITIs based on the requirement of the region to train the rural youth.

It was important to provide industrial training to the youth to tap job opportunities in the growing industrial sector. The Government had decided to set up at least 37 new ITIs in the State, of which 10 had already come up.

Construction of ITIs in Shiggaon and Guttala was under progress, the Minister informed.
